It's Black History Week

This week we are celebrating Black History Week by learning about Mary Seacole who helped soldiers injured during the war in Crimea.

We are tracing pictures of Mary Seacole to decorate our Mary Seacole story books.

Don't they look great, what a talented class we are!

Owl Biscuits

We had great fun making biscuits today.

We measured the ingredients out carefully and took turns reading the recipe.

It was hard work mixing by hand!

Halfway through a deer was spotted on the playing field so we tiptoed outside to have a look. Can you spot him?

After another hand wash we cut the biscuits out very carefully.

Look out for tasty nibbles after school!

Our village!

We enjoyed our walk around Bressingham on Monday afternoon, we visited lots of places and plotted them on our maps.

There was lots to find out about at the war memorial.

We visited the shop and met Charlie who runs it, we asked him lots of questions about it!

We found this lovely village sign at the village hall, we tried hard to sketch everything we saw.

We finished of by enjoying the sunshine at the playground.

Healthy eating!

We've had a lot of fun learning about healthy eating in class 2 this week.

We've made a fun game to learn about eating 5 a day.

We did a survey to find out which fruit was our favourite,  strawberries were the clear winner!

Lots of chopping and slicing practice making fruit salad.

We are looking forward to tasting our work at the end of the day!
